I have been plagued with persistent facial dermatitis for over a year. At various times this presented as sore, cracked, sometimes bleeding dry lips, swelling of the lips and raised areas adjacent to the corners of the mouth. The whole area was red and inflamed. Far worse was the itching, throbbing and very painful soreness. Over many months I tried a number of salves and balms but all to no avail. I was referred to the dermatology department of a local hospital and over the course of a year I had five consultations. A punch biopsy confirmed a staph aureus infection which took two courses of antibiotics to clear, but nothing was done about the underlying dermatitis except hydrocortisone, which made it worse. All in all I felt forsaken and disregarded. In desperation I searched online and came across AccessGP. I bless that day. After just two consultations with their skin specialist my skin is, as near as damn it, back to normal. I am overjoyed. The specialist prescribed a short strategic course of medication plus guidance on application, with the aim of completely reinstating my skin structure on a fundamental level. I have also received advice on how to protect and maintain my skin long term. I wish I had consulted AccessGP all those months ago. They are professional, knowledgeable and their systems are super efficient. I can’t emphasise how strongly I recommend AccessGP.

After a lengthy process with my community GP, I decided to take steps to ensure I wasn’t waiting or battling for appointments and went online in search of a virtual GP. They really took the time to listen to my issue and were thorough in making sure the tests needed were organised, and followed up quickly to fit around my busy schedule. It really felt like a traditional family GP but with all the benefits of modern tools. I even got physiotherapy exercises to do at home to help with my condition. I’m so glad I finally have both the answers and the tools to manage my condition, and I can’t believe how cost effective the service is, as I always thought I probably couldn’t afford private care. 5 star service and a care provider I can trust.

Easy to fix an appointment, the doctor was very nice and well prepared. He helped me with choosing a medication and gave me advice regarding another health issue. He also checked on me the day after.

I approached AccessGP to quicken up an MRI referral after many frustrating delays within the NHS. I booked the consult online for the same evening with Dr Hussain. I admit I felt cynical and didn’t know what to expect. I needn’t have worried. He was thorough and very knowledgeable about the injury and the referral process, and clearly cared about the impact on my day to day life. He sent off the referral during our consult and issued a generic referral letter just in case. I was actually heard rather than just listened to, and the admin was so quick. Really good service. I booked an appointment to obtain a doctor’s letter for a job application, where I was not having any luck with my NHS GP. Really well priced at £55, with an NHS letter costing £40. The GP was very friendly and helpful, completing the requested letter within an hour of the appointment and sending it over to me. I wish I had known about this option sooner.

For the first time ever, I felt like a doctor really cared and wanted to help. They were very patient and answered all of my questions. I didn’t feel rushed at all.
